Who are the consortium partners of the champI4.0ns project?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

In our series “Champs behind champI4.0ns<\/em><\/strong>“we introduce the partners and their employees. <\/span><\/span>We start with KIT <\/a><\/span><\/span>– Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.<\/h4>\n

\"KITKarlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)<\/h3>\n

As “The Research University in the Helmholtz Association”, KIT creates and imparts knowledge for society and the environment. The aim is to make significant contributions to the global challenges in the fields of energy, mobility and information. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The roots of the university educational institution date back to 1825. The KIT received its current form when the Universit\u00e4t Karlsruhe (TH) and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe merged in 2009.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

KIT is the experimental institute for steel, wood and stone. KIT is divided into the departments of steel and lightweight construction and timber construction and building design. The Department of Timber Construction and Building Design, in addition to teaching, deals with, <\/span>on the one hand <\/span>with the testing<\/span> of innovations on the way to the construction product and subsequently with the<\/span> monitoring and certification <\/span>of these <\/span>building products<\/span>on the other hand with the research on <\/span>connections, <\/span>components and construction methods in timber construction.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

KIT is part of the consortium of champI4.0ns<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

For KIT, the Main aspect within the project champI4.0ns <\/span><\/span>the analysis of the requirements for captured data and their scope. Another aspect is the simulation of non-measurable material properties. <\/span><\/span>The goal for KIT is a transfer of the <\/span>project <\/span>results of the wood industry <\/span>also <\/span>to the subsector <\/span>timber construction,<\/span> in order to optimize processes in the construction industry.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>Many years of experience in the wood sector and especially in the research sector make KIT a valuable partner in the consortium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
